"A Las Vegas Mixology Tribute"

LAS VEGAS INVADES TALES OF THE COCKTAIL is a lavish, over-the-top expression of Vegas culture to 1,500 Tales attendees. It's an event designed to honor and celebrate our city's best Mixologists.  For many, it will be their first glimpse of the Vegas cocktail scene and the history behind it.

 

Famous Mixologists from Las Vegas were key drivers in the national expansion of the USBG and the Mixology movement.  As Mixology moves to the world-stage, you can be sure that Vegas will be there every step of the way.

 

This evening will be nothing but remarkable, filled with award-winning Mixologists, hailing from the world’s finest hotels, and paired with the most innovative brands.

The "Modern Mixologist" in the flesh.  Tony has been an influence in the cocktail scene for decades, and he's not slowing down any time soon.

Francesco LaFranconi

An innovator and a very real force behind the Vegas cocktail scene.   He is one of Southern Wine & Spirits' best "exports."

Craig Schoettler

Property Mixologist for ARIA Resort & Casino.   Craig's cocktails always draw on the classic styles of the past while mixing bold flavors of the future.

Mariena Mercer

The lady behind the tour de force of Mixology at Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino.  She blends chic style and innovative taste, creating cocktails that always surpise and delight.

Max Solano

Max hailing from Emeril Lagasse's Delmonico Steakhouse brings a Vegas perspective on the New Orleans culture.

Raul Faria

The man, the myth, the legend.  Owner and operator of Mixology Made Simple and lead Mixologist at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill.

Ricardo Murcia

How do you become Property Mixologist at one of the world's best hotels?  With skill, dedication, and an excellent sense of what works.  Ricardo is all of these things and more.  His libations are always incredible.

Andrew Pollard

President of the Las Vegas USBG?  Check.  Beverage Development Specialist for Wirtz Beverage?  Check.  

Drew Levinson

Director of Strategic Activation for Wirtz Beverage Nevada.  Drew is a Mixologist who has won numerous accolades including Star Chefs "Rising Star."

Christopher Hopkins

Property Mixologist of Wynn | Encore.  A prestigious position by all accounts, he leads their program with creative and innovative redesigns of classic cocktails.

Kevin Vanegas

A native Nicuarguan, Kevin has created drink menus for the Ritz Carlton, Tortilla Flats, Tenjune Night Club, and the famous La Esquina. His Tequila cocktail creations can be found in various cocktail & local publications.

Nectaly Mendoza & Alenrry Iniguez

Owner & operators of Herbs & Rye.  This dynamic duo is a driving force behind Las Vegas Mixology. Their cocktails never disappoint and neither do they!

Travis Reel

The Bartender/Mixologist for Japonais, Las Vegas at the beautiful Mirage Hotel & Casino, while also maintaing his position as Associate Editor at MixologyMadeSimple.com.  Travis keeps both the drinks and words flowing!

Patricia Richards

The opening Mixologist and Bar Manager for Drai's Enterprises, quarterly writer for Cake & Whiskey,  and creator of Mind-Body-Spirits, a new TOTC Seminar.   She is an innovator and trailblazer by all accounts.

Kristen Schaefer

Absolut Ambassador and a powerhouse

behind the Las Vegas cocktail scene.  You can catch her at the many high-profile cocktail events in Las Vegas.  

Jason Hughes

A true USBG veteran boasting over 8 years as a member.  He has competed in many cocktail competitions, worked at top tier venues like Chandelier Bar, Rhumbar, and Wolfgang Puck's Lupos.  Experience is his middle name.

Lillian Hargrove

The head bartender at Rhumbar and mixolgist for DriveThis! Entertainment, where she is working on an innovative cigar & cocktail program.  She was one of the few to open both ARIA Hotel & Casino and Vesper Bar.

Michael Przydzial

The Lead Bartender at Central in Caesars Palace and a true Vegas veteran.  From grand openings, cocktail competitions, and cocktail menu consulting, Michael has done it all;  A pioneer of his craft.  

J.R. Starkus

A key player in the Las Vegas cocktail scene for the last decade.   He's won many cocktail contests and consistently produces quality work.  His work with Southern Wine & Spirits takes him all over the city, creating cocktails of all kinds.

Jair Bustillos

A rising star in the Vegas cocktail world.  Jair got his first taste of mixology while working at Back Bar USA, and now continues perfecting his craft at Southern Wine & Spirits working directly with JR Starkus and Francesco.

Tim Rita

Formerly from the island paradise and trade winds of Hawaii,  Tim's style of utilizing "regional centric" flavors in cocktails is a perfect blend and compliments the ever evolving greatness of the Las Vegas cocktail culture.  

Adina Arstein

Adina crafts custom cocktails at The Talon Club for the Cosmopolitan's High Rollers.   She makes every drink a little different and makes  sure her customers love the end result.  She's featured by Seven Magazine as a rising woman of mixology.

Ramon Ordonez

A native of El Salvador, Ramon first began his work behind the bar in Vegas in 2008.  He has had the honor of working with some of the cities greats including Francesco, JR, and Raul Faria.

He is a life long student of the craft.

April Simms

April began her career in AZ at the young age of 19.  She moved to Vegas two years ago and now waves that flag proudly.  A top performer at competitions like "Last Slinger Standing" and a leading female in the industry.

Derek Crow

Derek was born and bred in Wyoming. This Tales of the Cocktail virgin is creating masterful cocktails at the recently opened Cromwell.

Michael Vorsanger

Michael oversees the management and operations of Vdara Hotel & Spa's food and beverage outlets. He earned a degree in business administration from Florida State University.

Nicholas Kabetso

Nicholas is a gifted flair bartender with deep roots in Las Vegas. He graduated the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration. Currently he is the Beverage operations Director for all Golden Nugget properties.

Julian Luna

Julian hones his skill at the popular Vesper Bar inside of the Cosmopolitan. Another proud native from Las Vegas. He has created cocktail menus at the Hops and Harvest by Bradley Ogden and Angelo Sosas poppy den.

Juyoung Kang

A Philadelphia native, Juyoung is a versatile hospitality professional with 15+ years experience in multi-faceted hospitality venues. You can now find Juyoung as she heads the mixology program for BLVD Coctail Company at the Linq.

Vache Manoukian

Vache Manoukian is a competition flair bartender for 12 years working at the famous Carnavel Court on the Las Vegas strip and has been featured in multiple TV/magazine spots.
